I was in this car. I got out and walked away, and so did the other three people in the car, and my snowboard and skis that were in that smashed rocketbox were fine, too. The two of us in the front wound up with tiny cuts in our hands from crawling out since the windshield was broken; no other injuries at all.

The trooper who came let us sit in his car waiting for the tow truck, gave us handwarmers, showed us pictures of other accidents, and drove us to the mountain after the car had been hauled away. Most interesting hitchhike I’ve ever had, maybe.

I keep thinking about how awesome it is to be alive. Don’t waste it!
