Bonked at tkd for the first time tonight. Cycling vs. martial arts bonks! Cycling bonk suckage: you still have to ride home, even if you feel like you’re dying, even if you’re out of water. Sparring bonk suckage: someone is trying to kick you while you feel like you’re dying, and you probably have a Korean dude yelling at you to quit being lame. Lesson learned: EAT FOOD. You will not get in shape for tournament a month from tomorrow if you are about to pass out during regular class. Must be able to do two 1:30 rounds back to back without getting tired.
In other, semi-related news, I am waking up at six a.m. to go for a run. Who are you and what have you done with the lazy, stay-up-all-night-and-sleep-until-the-afternoon person I have always been???
